For thousands of years, wine has been one of the main drinks in human life. China has a long history of winemaking, with a wide variety of wines and a collection of famous wines, which are well-known both at home and abroad. In 2019, my country's wine exports were 490 million liters, with an export value of RMB 7.73 billion. The top three export countries or regions are: Hong Kong, ASEAN, and South Korea. Hong Kong is the largest export trade region for wine in my country. From the perspective of the structure of exported wines, liquor is the main export variety, accounting for 59.4% of the export value; followed by beer, accounting for 22.8% of the export value; and rice wine accounts for 2.2%.

 

As exchanges between China and foreign countries become more frequent, the types and quantities of imported wines are also expanding. In 2019, my country's wine imports amounted to 1.59 billion liters, with an import value of RMB 34.5 billion. Imported wines are mainly wine, distilled spirits, and beer, among which wine is the most important import trade category. my country's imported wine products mainly come from 133 countries or regions, among which the top three in terms of trade value are: France, Australia, and Chile.
